Ever heard people say time is money.

I think they meant doing more in less time. But how long will you be able to sustain it won’t it cause burnout, and you eventually feel like hell.

Every day we have 24 hours taking out 8 hours of sleep leaves us with 16 hours. There is a limit to how much you can do in 16 hours, and you also need to ensure the quality of work.

I have used some of the tips mentioned below to increase my productivity, avoid burnout and maintain work, life balance. Try to use these tips and see what works best for you.

Time management tools

Technology and tools essentially make our life easier and more productive. There are many different tools available to help keep track of time, schedule tasks, and increase our efficiency.

I have mentioned some of the most basic and essential tools.

1. Cerebro is a project management tool. It includes planning, collaboration, and time management features.

2. ClickUp aims to be an all-in-one work management app with features for everything from project management to collaboration to CRM and more, including time tracking.

3. GoodDay is a team management platform designed to handle all of your project management needs, from planning to bug tracking.

4. Scoro gives you all the tools you need for efficient time management, including time tracking, billing, work reporting, project & task management.

Pareto principle

The Pareto principle is most commonly known as the 80/20 rule. Vilfredo de Pareto, an Italian sociologist, and economist who, in his research, found that 80% of the nation’s wealth is in the hands of 20% population. Later he discovered that this rule applies to various other aspects of life.

By doing 20% of the work, you can get 80% of the results. So ask yourself what those 20% tasks can get you 80% of results.

Often it is not directly visible, which 20% will give you maximum result. However, asking that question can be incredibly useful for self-reflection and task evaluation.

Plan

Planning your day-to-day tasks will give you clarity. You need to make sure you include proper breaks between each task, so you don’t feel burnout. Also, mention the time limit; this will help you focus on a particular task and yield great results.

The Eisenhower principle is an excellent technique for task management and setting clear priorities.

Delegate

Delegation doesn’t mean running away or simply denying it. Sometimes you have many tasks to complete, and trying to force yourself to do all the jobs may reduce the quality of work, loss of focus, and creativity.

So it’s better to find a person suitable for the job and trust him with the work.
